I’m Jeremy Angel, a passionate martial artist and entrepreneur dedicated to promoting true self-defense values and community spirit through MMA. I believe in building a strong foundation, both in the gym and in life.
I’m from Commerce Georgia went to High school in Homer Georgia. In 2001 joined the wrestling team where I found my place in life was on the mats.
In 2005 after graduation I found a BJJ gym just outside of Myrtle Beach South Carolina. That’s where I found life after wrestling. Shortly after returning home I was making my MMA debut. Went on to have 6 MMA fights, a dozen Muay Thai fights and some boxing matches. In 2009 I made the decision to train and not compete due to playing football. After retiring from football I decided to make 1 more run in MMA in 2019. It was a 4 year run which resulted in a MMA title and a gym of my own. Since winning the title my goal has been to help others achieve those goals. We have built a fight team like no other. Our team travels the country taking on top talent.
I love this sport with a passion due to all the life lessons it teaches and the values you gain from it. A motto I’ve taken away is be comfortable being uncomfortable.
My coach Johnny Dunn has had the biggest impact on me as a coach and practitioner. He is the type of coach I strive to be. He is caring, selfless and just an all around great guy. He is the owner of Kaiju Jitsu which is an affiliate of American Killer Bees. He is a black belt out of Woodstock Georgia.
As a gym our whole goal is community outreach. We have a non profit “Warriors for the Lord” the purpose behind it to help people in need. We also offer free women’s self defense seminars and free kids bully proof seminars often. Recently I started homeschooling my 2 daughters. Upon doing that I realized they would miss opportunities that they had in school. Due to that we hosted a home school field day and had over 80 kids attend.
My goals for the future are to reach as many people as possible and share my love for the sport. I would love to create a space for athletes to reach the next level. While we still have a ways to go we are on the path to create future leaders, coaches and pro fighters.
